With a combined experience of over 25 years in real estate and interior design, we design to reflect our clients’ personality, while also drawing on our professional skill sets. Our own upbringings have also heavily influenced our aesthetic, which is an amalgamation of ethnicities and sensibilities with Eastern and Western influences. It is a style that is ideal to suit our international, often multicultural, clients and their eclectic tastes. This allows us to remain current in a cosmopolitan market. Growing up in Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur exposed Mariko to a variety of cultures from a young age. Flitting between the two cities before settling in Singapore in 2013, Mariko realised that creating a space that felt intimate and personal came naturally. With a background in real estate, Mariko is well versed in the challenges of finding a dream property, but it is her inherent ability to harmonise a household that has made her a favourite among her clients.
Today, she has transformed her expertise by working with both residential and commercial clients to transform ordinary spaces to extraordinary environments. Her trademark attention to detail, multicultural reference points and adventurous use of colour and texture are hallmarks of her signature style.
As a former project manager for one of the largest interior design and construction companies in Japan, Saki has worked on everything from private residential projects to large commercial spaces for clients across the luxury F&B and retail sectors. Although her flair lies chiefly in design, she is also driven by spaces and deciphering new ways in which to communicate their purpose.
Saki is fascinated by form, and loves working with natural materials. She is also a firm believer in the concept of Kaizen, a Japanese philosophy that means to change for the better, or ‘continuous improvements’. This ensures that her designs are always of the highest level and quality.
